Your itinerary
DAY 1
- Departing from your hotel, you'll leave Paris for Mont Saint Michel. Your driver guide will take you to the island, crossing the drawbridge and ramparts. He'll show you the medieval town with its 15th and 16th-century houses.
- After lunch in the heart of Mont Saint-Michel, you'll set off to explore the Romanesque and Gothic abbeys with your tablet, at your own pace. You can then continue strolling through the streets of the town, or follow your driver guide for a walk on the path around the Mont, facing the sea. Away from the crowds of visitors, you'll be able to take in the mystery of this place steeped in history.
- Your departure from Mont Saint Michel is scheduled for around 4:30 p.m., arriving in Avranches around 6:00 p.m. to settle into your hotel.
DAY 2
- Your guide will take you to the emblematic sites of the Battle of Normandy: Pointe du Hoc, Omaha beach, the moving American Cemetery at Collevillle-sur-mer, the artificial landing port at Arromanches, where you'll stop for lunch.
- After lunch, you'll discover the 360° panoramic cinema at Arromanches, with its incredible montage of archive films, or visit the Overlord Museum, with its impressive collection of armored vehicles and uniforms. The staging, with reconstituted sets, is spectacular!
- Our guide will show you the magnificent town of Bayeux. He'll show you the splendid cathedral, the old streets and their 15th and 16th-century residences. You'll also be free to visit the museum of the famous Bayeux tapestry.
- On the way back you can enjoy a calvados tasting, arriving in Paris around 8:00 pm.
The order of visits may be modified according to traffic conditions.
