Day 1: Metz

  • Metz Cathedral: A 800-year-old jewel of Gothic architecture, featuring 6,500 square meters of stained glass, including those created by Chagall
  • Saint Louis Square Christmas Market: A beautiful medieval square
  • The German Gate: Built in the 13th century, it is a symbol of Metz's medieval past

Day 2: Strasbourg

  • Arrival in Strasbourg at 6:30 PM: Visit the most beautiful Christmas market under the illuminations and enjoy mulled wine!
  • Dinner at a typical Alsatian restaurant: Sample culinary specialties like braised ham hock, flammekueche, sauerkraut, Alsatian hotpot, kouglof, and gingerbread
  • Cathedral visit: A symbol of Strasbourg, constructed from pink Vosges sandstone over nearly three centuries, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture
  • Petite France: A beautiful quarter with cobbled streets, half-timbered houses, and canals
  • Rohan Palace: Designed like the grand Parisian hotels, one of the most beautiful architectural achievements of the 18th century
  • Covered bridges and Vauban Passages: The three 13th-century bridges covered with wooden roofs and then proceed to Vauban Dam, a historic classified lock bridge from the 17th century
