THE PROGRAMME OF YOUR VISIT

• The guided tour starts from 10.00 am to 4.30 pm
• Meeting with your personal guide, in front of the Palace of Versailles
• Cross the majestic gates of Versailles Palace with your own personal and certified guide and dive into forbidden majestic rooms such as The King's and Queen's Great
• Apartments, the world-famous Hall of Mirrors, the Bull's Eye Anteroom, the King's bedroom and the Council Chambers in a guided tour that will take approximately 2hrs
• Allow your guide to unlock for you the access to the Gardens, which you will be able to enjoy for about 1h30 of the total visit
• Finally, discover Marie-Antoinette hidden paradise and personal palaces the Trianons together with her very own Queen's Hamlet for about 1 hour's visit
• If you still didn't have enough, you always have the possibility to continue your visit to Versailles at the end of the programme

THE VISIT OF THE CASTLE OF VERSAILLES

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for 30 years, the Versailles Palace was the residence of the French kings Louis XIV, Louis XV and Louis XVI and their court from 1682 until the French Revolution in 1789. You will discover the magnificent Palace of Versailles in the company of your guide: its baroque architecture, its artistic masterpieces, its sumptuous decorations, as well as its furniture made by the greatest craftsmen of the time. You will have access to the most famous rooms of the Palace: The King's State Apartment with its 7 salons, all decorated on the theme of a god (the salon of Apollo, Mars, Mercury, Venus, etc.), the Queen's flats arranged symmetrically to those of the King, with the Coronation Hall and the Queen's bedroom, occupied in particular by Marie-Antoinette. You will be amazed by the breathtaking Hall of Mirrors, a place for receptions and parades designed by the famous architect Jules Hardouin-Mansart. Its 73m long and it is lit by 17 windows and 350 mirrors that open onto the splendid gardens of the Palace; Its function being, without doubt, to dazzle the Sun King Louis XIV's visitors.

THE GARDENS OF VERSAILLES

After your visit to the Palace, your guide will show you the sumptuous formal gardens designed by Le Nôtre ...

Peaceful and inspiring, the majestic park stretches out on either side of the Grand Canal inviting its guests to take a long and refreshing walk. Along the paths, you will discover a marvelous succession of marble statues, fountains, ponds, flowerbeds and groves. While strolling, you will admire the water beds, the Orangery and its exotic trees as well as the Neptune and Apollo basins. During special days, Versailles holds 2 beautiful spectacles: Fountains Shows and Musical Gardens, the fountains come to life and start dancing to the sound of baroque music, an enchanting show that will give you a sight to remember (weekends and public holidays).

DOMAINE DE MARIE-ANTOINETTE

Our guide will show you the Marie Antoinette's Trianon property and the Queen's Hamlet, an intimate and preserved place with bucolic charm situated away from the park.

Far from the splendor of the Château, the Property of Marie-Antoinette is made up of the Petit Trianon and the Hamlet. Timeless, a place for receptions and walks, it exalts the imagination with its bucolic layouts and rural architecture.

As for the Grand Trianon, it allowed King Louis XIV to escape from the court and preserve his love affairs there. It gives an impression of intimacy and refinement. The palace is inspired by Italian architecture and invites to poetry and strolling.

After this guided tour (approx. 1 hour), you can continue your visit to the Queen's Hamlet at your leisure.
